Invitation for Diz-organized Big Riders (DBR to the VBR)

Invitation for Diz-organized Big Riders (DBR to the VBR)

Departing Denver, CO. Aug. 20, early AM - Concours and KLR rider inviting fun joiners, all brands and models. Aug. 21 we plan an afternoon tour for 1-2 hours of the National Motorcycle Museum (outside Cedar City), then camping/motel on the road somewhere later in the day. Plan to arrive Duluth noonish Aug.22, Friday. Motel or camp along the way.
This is a "diz-organized" ride, meaning no road captian, no specified leaders, nada, just a diz-organized group heading north and east to Duluth and the VBR. It is so diz-organized we've not decided where to leave from yet, but will probably be outside of Denver proper to avoid rush hour. Ride with your pal, or solo. We'll have some "touch" points along the way if you feel a need to check-in. Of course, because we're diz-organized, no one else may be there when you check-in.....
There may be a magazine article about this diz-organized ride after the event, so be photogenic (cover appropriate parts if riding naked.....)

What a coincidence, I'm paralleling your route! I might hook up w/ someone in Cedar Rapids for 'lunch', or not. He and I are both DBR's

The Frisco guy. ;)

Do I go north first then

Do I go north first then west or west first then north.

The front wheel will tell me on Thursday.

See you in Duluth

What route out of Denver...?

I'm leaving about the same time from western Nebraska. What route are the DBRs taking? Maybe we could hook up for part of the journey. I'm not sure I meet your criteria though... I'm shaped like a telephone pole with OCD.

I recommend avoiding Nebraska and Iowa

I have done the ride from Denver to MN a few times now and I highly recommend NOT going through Nebraska or Iowa. You will have more fun and see a lot more beauty if you go north to Montana then head East across the Dakota's. Not to mention the Nebraska troopers are not always motorcycle friendly.

To Iowa Motorcycle Museum

If Cedar Rapids and east are not washed away, then DBR is slated to stop at the Narional Motorcycle Museum in Anamosa, Iowa Thursday in the AM... then on to Minn. somewhere for the night.

Route

I 76 to Ogallala, then onto Rt. 30 to end up near Lincoln or Omaha first night.
Diz-organizer

I be thinking 9:30 or so Wed

I be thinking 9:30 or so Wed AM, someplace in Ogallala.

Buzz up to NE-99 and take that across to IA. I need to confirm with the un Diz Organizer.

According to Delorme . . .
