Boise to Duluth - BBG1500Boise to Duluth - BBG1500Posted March 30th, 2008 by weidauer
I'm in the process of planning a route that will net me 1,500 miles from home (Boise, ID) to Duluth for the rally. I hope to complete the 1,500 miles in under 24 hours and qualify for a Bun Burner Gold award from IBA. IBA requires two end-of-ride witnesses, and I'm hoping to line up a couple of volunteers who might be willing to "sign me in" once I arrive at the rally. I'll be riding a new (currently only 1,500 miles on it) HD Ultra Classic 105th Anniversary edition, so I'm taking the easy way out. I thought about taking the KLR, but even with the new Corbin seat this would be right up there with root canal in terms of comfort. So...any volunteers? Or other thoughts, etc.? |
Riding to VBR II
Oh boy...new tires. Riding to VBR from the Seattle area (Woodinville) the 18th of August. Intend to go across N. Dakota just cause I've been to S. Dakota a number of times already. Riding an 1150RT; anybody want to go with? I'll be heading to Indianapolis after the rally, then back through some routes I haven't thought up yet. See ya there...Threefingered Mike
