Boring Rally

Will be riding from Cleveland -- might have to go thru Minneapolis, might skip it. If you go up 75, you will have to pass me by. What dates are you going? would you consider hooking up for one or both directions? I think I have company for the ride home...

I wouldn't mind riding company from Cleveland on. I'm hoteling it on the way out and camping at the rally. I have a large tent that will still fit on the bike (designed to sleep 4). I'm planning to hit the road Tuesday night, Aug. 19 and spend the night in the Cleveland area Aug. 20. Planning another overnight in Mackinaw City, MI. and cross the U.P. to Duluth. Mileage I've computed from home in Elkton, MD will be approx. 1300 miles one way.

Got the time off!
Ok, then. I have finally arranged to have the time off. I can roll as early as Thursday the 21. Doris, was it you who is going from Cinci up? If you want to stop in Cleve overnight, we have a guest room and garage for the bike.

I'm coming from Maryland/Delaware line not Cinci and should be in Cleveland area on the 19th. Timing is off. I want to arrive in Duluth on 21st. I'm spending night of 20th in Mackinaw City and taking Rt 2 the rest of the way across U.P.

Thanks for the offer of room and garage. Might like to accept on way back if possible.

At last the excitement of getting back on the road, seeing new places, meeting new people, and making new friends is starting to build. Bags are packed and the agenda, other than Friday and Saturday of course, is yet to be determined. I just wanted to jump in here briefly and wish everyone a safe and rewarding trip.
